چکیده
The high resolution absorption spectrum of monodeuterated water, HDO, has been recorded by Intracavity Laser Absorption Spectroscopy (ICLAS) in the 12145–13160 cm 1 region. The achieved sensitivity (noise equivalent absorption on the order of amin 10 9 cm ) allowed detecting transitions with line strengths as weak as 10 27 cm/molecule which is about 50 times lower than the weakest line intensities previously detected in the considered region. The rovibrational assignment of the 1179 lines attributed to the HDO isotopologue was based on the results of the variational calculations of Schwenke and Partridge as well as the recent calculations based on a new HDO potential energy surface refined from the fitting to the available experimental data. The overall agreement between these new calculations and the observed spectrum is very good, the rms deviation of the differences between the calculated and observed energy values being 0.05 cm . A set of 304 new experimental HDO energy levels was obtained. In particular, band origins for the (122), (202), and (311) vibrational states, at 12568.190, 12644.652, and 12919.938 cm , respectively, and their rotational sublevels are derived for the first time. A detailed HDO database of 1337 transitions was constructed and is provided as Supplementary Material. 2007 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.

Lifetimes of the lowest triplet state of ozone by intracavity laser absorption spectroscopy
High resolution spectra (0.014 cm -1 ) of 0 3 of the highly structured first two members of the Wulf progression in the near-infrared spectral range (9100-10200 cm -j ) have been measured by intracavity laser absorption spectroscopy (ICLAS). A preliminary analysis of the rotational structure confirmed previous assignments for the lowest excited 3A 2 (triplet) state. However, the linewidths of t...

We report the demonstration of high-sensitivity intracavity laser absorption spectroscopy with multiple-quantum-well vertical-external-cavity surface-emitting semiconductor lasers (VECSEL's). A detection limit of 3 x 10(-10) cm (-1) has been achieved. The spectrotemporal dynamics of a VECSEL in the 1030-nm wavelength region has been studied. The laser was operating cw at room temperature, with ...

The weak absorption spectrum of dideuterated water, D2O, has been recorded by Intracavity Laser Absorption Spectroscopy (ICLAS) between 11400 and 11900 cm . This spectrum is dominated by the 3m1 + m2 + m3 and the m1 + m2 + 3m3 centered at 11500.25 and 11816.64 cm , respectively. A total of 530 energy levels belonging to eight vibrational states were determined. The rovibrational assignment proc...

In FT-ICLAS, the aim is to improve the absorption detection sensitivity. The experiment combines IntraCavity Laser Absorption Spectroscopy (ICLAS) with FTIR spectroscopy. ICLAS is a well known instrumental technique in which a sample is inserted in a cell placed inside a broadband, multimode laser cavity. The laser is operating in pulsed mode and intracavity absorption rises as the laser wave b...
